ExArkansan

I am an old Razorback fan and graduate.

I would not include them in any "super" power league that included football. Petrino and Nutt had some big wins over ranked teams like LSU and Texas, but their pass defenses always seemed weak, but not like this year. Under Nutt they gave up 203.5 passing yards per game and under Petrino 208.4. As of last night, Pittman is averaging 247.5 per game and that include getting torched by really bad Auburn and Miss. St. offenses. I am glad to be SEC too, but Arkansas sucks once again.
He was right about that. That place was rocking. I hink A&M wasn't ready for it.
You are right. Arkansas has never had a true rivalry game. It is a small state and the Hogs are the only team in town. The biggest rival Arkansas fans ever had was Texas, but it was one sided. Texas already had A&M and OK. These phony made up rivalries with LSU and MO are a joke.
All the Hog fans are complaining about the secondary being horrible. Can anyone remember when it was good? Maybe in the 80's when they had Steve Atwater?
I wouldn't be clucking too much about Arkansas, Cocky. Last time I checked, SC is one of the few SEC teams that Arkansas has a winning record against. Not bragging, but you guys don't scare anyone.
Arkansas didn't play Kentucky. The Hogs lost to A&M and OK State. LSU is one of the teams that I think most Razorback fans look at on the schedule and figure it's a 50/50 game if the Hogs play perfect ball. The Razorbacks are probably going with a backup QB on Saturday. Either way, it should be fun.
Awesome! I feel your pain. It's not just a huge upset, but it is the way Alabama lost and then the way the got shoved around by SC. Throw on top of that DeBoer's slack attitude regarding his players performance. I would be worried too if I was a Bama fan.
Fans should not be on the field, but that doesn't excuse the Vols player from shoving the kid. He needs to just get his butt in the locker room and get ready to get out of town. I hope the Arkansas fan files charges against the player.
Maybe Tennessee is going to embarrass the Hogs, but maybe not. Arkansas may embarrass themselves before Tennessee can get around to it. I can just as easily see Arkansas taking the Vols right down to the wire, before they find a way to lose. Either way, Hogs end up losing.
He is real entertaining if you are not a Hog fan. If you are a Razorback fan, it's not very much fun. Just the same old losers in a new package. Year after year, after year. They can't win a big game that matters, their bowl record is terrible, and they will probably never win the conference. Hogs even lost the game of the century. We can always look back to the 1964 championship team and the 78 Orange Bowl.
Win or lose, I don't care what Green pulls out of his ass, he is not an SEC caliber QB. Maybe he was good enough for the MWC or the Big 12 or wherever, but the dude should not be starting in the SEC.
I think Green just looks like a disaster about to happen at any moment. Another conference win could be very elusive. Go Hogs! Beat Texas!
Top echelon of media attention and bluster at least. Give him a couple of years and see what he does at Colorado.
Whatever happened to him, I hope he makes a full recovery, but I wish they would have shown it. I would like to know what happened to him. Most viewers are grown ups. We don't need the tv producers deciding what we are capable of watching. They certainly showed Anthony blowing up the Arkansas player over and over. It was a great hit. Football is a violent game. If you cannot handle it, don't watch.
Thank God for Vandy. I thought for sure he was going to say Arkansas.
The problem is the players have to clean up those problems on the field where the game is played, but the coaching staff has not shown they are capable or maybe willing to motivate he players to get it done.
The passing game was just horrible. Green can scramble around. Great, but he can't hit wide open receivers. Arkansas has about twenty wide receivers on their roster, but they can't get someone better than Tyrone Broden in the game? UAB is a bad football team. They are a really bad football team, but once again, Arkansas played down to the level of a team that they should have dominated.
We have already seen what he can do. Petrino's team would have scored 58 points, but still lost in overtime and later that night he would get his ass whooped by his girlfriend's boyfriend. Bobby is great as an OC, but that is it.
Arkansas cannot compete with the other SEC teams when it comes to five star recruits. Arkansas can get some fours and a lot of threes. But what Arkansas could do, is recruit much smarter players. If you are going to get mostly three stars, you might as well make sure they are smart. The Hogs play stupid and that has cost them another game. Historically, Arkansas has had some really good kickers. Did they forget with the Hogs history of losing close games, that a great kicker might be an imperative? I remember when Green transferred Boise State fans saying that Green made 10 great plays, and then one spectacularly dumb play. He was teetering on that all afternoon. If the coaches don't get that overthrowing corrected, he is going to be a interception machine in the SEC.
