This what it looks like when your own defense, the refs, and just luck all gangtankle you. Alone, I somewhat understand each of the touchdowns that didn’t count, but THREE. I think the boldest part of that is predicting any team to go undefeated in the sec this season. Ole miss and mizzou sitting at the top of the conference is not a bold prediction at all and likely a lot closer than SDs having them at 6&7 behind Texas, lsu, Tenn, and aTm. Considering it takes a sec team or a big10 power to outpay us, having a coach snatched is not the reality it used to (and still is for usm). I don’t think NIL really is going to hurt us much either. We will always have to struggle to keep players from the likes of Alabama and uga, but being competitive for title every few seasons is feasible. We need some consistency right now, but look at OM. Granted, they did manage to lose a heisman caliber running back to the portal but I will be surprised if they DONT. end up in the playoffs. I do hope we don’t immediately shell it top 5 money after 2 winning seasons, though. And I hope we don’t bypass the 4 year limit.
