Sounds like the entire basketball staff is somehow involved, even the analytics guy. Just about anywhere else everyone would be placed on administrative leave until the investigation has been completed.

Not sure why the on-the-field officials didn't call unsportsmanlike like penalty on the Texas bench immediately, what were they waiting for? Also, the head of officiating in Birmingham could have reviewed it as well on the spot. The game was delayed several minutes to clean up the mess. Guess they prefer to let the league office make up for their lack of in-game judgement.

Don't forget that DeBoer's not going to get the questionable offiating calls that usually benefited Saban throughout his career. The uncalled neutral zone infraction is just one example, along with the unsportsmanlike penalty that is almost always offsetting.

Saban was just setting up Kalen DeBoer and questioning why he is being paid $10M to lose to Vandy.

Don't forget that the Auburn Final Four team won the SEC Tournament in 2019 only to be punished by playing New Mexico State on Salt Lake City on a Thursday afternoon on virtually zero rest. Having the East bracket play games in Spokane is absurd. If the tournament doesn't matter then the SEC league office needs to change its trademark to "it just means less"... what a joke. I expect Bruce Pearl use this as additional motivation and the team plays their best game of the season against UConn in Boston.

Yes, I can't remember him commiting technical fouls while at Auburn, much less being ejected.

Tdow is spot on. Having Saban behind the curtain, ready to step in a la Barry Alvarez at a moments notice. It's possible that Saban comes out of retirement to win a bowl game. Yes, players are leaving Bama via the portal faster than DeBoer is bringing them in. And even when he does replace them in the coming weeks, will they be the same five star level studs that are currently running from the building. Perception is reality.

Very few longtime CEOs (Saban included) establish a successful external successor for their replacement. Especially when the decision to retire is made less than one hour from his last ever press conference as head coach. Had he announced his retirement after the SEC Championship game, it would have allowed UAT to make a strong hire (possibly from within) in December while making the playoff run and this retain most of the current players with eligibility remaining and minimize the impact of the transfer portal. Easier said than done.

This is intriguing choice; rest assured Saban had a say. Yes, he's undefeated against the other candidates but the portal and expanded SEC schedule is brutal. Will be interesting to watch.

Not sure why Saban refuses to switch to a silent snap count mid-game, especially when 100,000 people are clapping (just like the QB). This has played a major issue in Bama's other losses; can't blame his center 100%.
