Well it should be clear after nearly 2 years that Thorne does not project success at the qb position. He has White and Knight as the future at the position. Take White off the squad he is in right now and give him a shot. I mean what is the worse thing he could do, throw an interception. Maybe it would force AU to use the running game to set up the pass. I mean if you were the coach and you had to go with our running back or with our present qb for a win, which would you choose? Hunter or Thorne should be the major emphasis of your offense. I know there are issues with the offensive line but pass blocking just ain't their strong point. I love AU football but just do some things that make sense and not the same losing formula every game.

I have looked at the AU roster and can't find another field goal kicker. Not even a walk on. With a half decent field goal kicker we might have been in a couple more games with a chance. This guy does not have it. Might be a good guy but this is about winning or losing. Good lord!!!!!!

Put Thorne on the sideline. This season is over. Play whatever qb you think is going to be the man next year. If it is Brown or White play them now. It could not be any worse than scoring 7 points against Vanderbilt. Freeze has one more year to learn how to manage the offense and then it is out and bring in some other coach.

Finally! Been saying all season to use the run to set up the pass instead of the other way around. I know it is fashionable to do the pretty pass but I still love Coach Dye football.

Two weeks in a row Auburn had a receiver let a touchdown pass go right through their arms. Simmons dropped one against Georgia and then the one this weekend. If the receivers make those plays it changes the narrative a little for Thorne and Freeze. Players have to make plays period. No coach tells their players to drop a touchdown pass!!!!!!

Since when is low intelligence and questionable morals a factor in hiring. I mean you can be the leader of the free world with that as your calling card. Give it a break and judge your coach on his players driving records and suspensions (or lack of).

Past time to flip the page. Thorne will not be here next year so play for the future (if there is one). Play tight man defense and rus 5 or 6 on 3rd and long. If they beat you fine but please quit beating your own team by rushing 2 or three. If you give these qbs(except AU qbs) time they will be at you more often than not. Next year is here. Play like it.

What is finebaum's coaching record anywhere in any sport? Duh! He knows so little about the game that he uses the reality tv approach to get the ignorant listeners to tune in. When this guy gets down to x's and o's and personnel match ups and things that really decide most outcomes of games, let me know. So many of the players that are contributing are freshmen and sophomores so if Freeze can keep them and get some quality offensive tackles and more standout defensive linemen, there should be great progress. The quarterback position is a tough one. Will Deuce or Walker step up and improve our situation?

Just how many ways can this team find to lose a ballgame. I mean good lord!!!! Blame Freeze most of you. Players have to make plays and not make bad plays. No stupid penalties and make a field goal inside the 20 and it is a different story.

Ron pay attention. I am referring to playing football. Sorry to disappoint you but I did earn my degree from Auburn in 76. I know from the way you write you are playing ignorant but I do think high school may have been a challenge. The childish and rude things you post to people says a lot about you whether it is a game you play or if it is actually the real world you live in.

I am so tired of Bo Nix! He is not an Auburn Tiger!!! He quit our team!! I am only interested in players that end with AU and not the ones that started with AU. Just like the Cowart kid. He moved on and so did I.

You have some that light up the conversation every year with the everything that happens wrong is the coach. Players have to make plays and players have to limit their mistakes. You think Freeze did any instructional time on how to throw an int? Did he have a session on fumbling the ball? No! They spend hours on how to not let those things happen but it is the player with the ball in their hand and not the coach. Now you can bench a player that continues to perform poorly but you also have to put someone in their place.The roster was extremely thin on Freeze's arrival and is still thin on quality to this day. AU has a lot of transfers but besides our one big contributor at wide receiver has anyone of them been star quality? NO! I hate losing tremendously but if a coach coming in can't have 3 or 4 years to be judged then you set your team up for a revolving door coaching change with each coaching hire getting more difficult.

Old Bo threw 41 ints in 3 years. I guess he knows something about the qb making bad throws.

You would have thought after AU played prevent defense last year and lost to bama on 4th and 31 that would not happen again. Arkansas has to put and the game is tied then things might have turned out different. Instead on 3rd and long with 8 defenders back, a receiver gets behind the defense. Touchdown and deflated the defense for the rest of the game.

Well for one, if you have to depend on an idiot like slimebaum for your opinion on sports you really aren't about the sport. All he does is spend his time running from one team that is struggling to the next calling for the coach to be fired. If you are in to reality tv and not really in to talking about the game, then bashing personalities like he does is your ticket. I played sports most of my life but the amount of time and energy these young men put in to be out there on Saturday is off the charts. Yes they have a lot of rewards but also have to give up a lot at this level. Hope he heals up and is able to continue on. Can happen on any play.

Playing your qb before they may be ready is a toss up in college and the pros. I have always leaned towards 1 to 2 to 3 years transition from high school to college and from college to the pros. If you start too soon and have poor performances it seems you get written off quickly. Not a one shoe fits all but tough on these young guys.

Even with the turnovers AU could have been in the game late into the final quarter. The one thing I don't understand about defensive coaches (and I saw this happen in a couple other games besides the AU game) is they rush 4 or 5 or 6 and get a team in 3rd and long and then rush 3. In old school rushing football this ploy might be successful but in modern passing offenses if you give a qb time they will find someone open. AU even though they pulled even and close at times seemed to have no confidence at all. Tough season yet again. Players have to make plays!!!!!

AU does not play winning football when they have 3 down linemen rushing and no pressure on the qb. Also as has been evident the last few years, AU seems to lose containment in the flats that turns a 2 yard gain into 9 or 10. You have to help your secondary out at the line of scrimmage and with a pass rush.

Hahaha that should be move and not movie. We have already seen enough bad movies in the last few when it comes to AU football.

I would say Thorne has been given an ample opportunity to show he deserves to be the main starter at qb and the results have been a disaster. If you aren't getting better change has to happen. AU could be staring at 4 straight years of having a losing record. Thorne will not be here next year so now appears to be a good time. I support the coach in this movie.

I encountered people like Ron in Jr high and some in high school. Some people never grow up. When your answer to anything is attack the person and not address the issue maybe you should run for President.

For AU I would say if the team is going to pass on almost every play then practice pass blocking and forget run blocking. Before the season began we read about how AU was going to have one of the best running attacks. It does not work if you don't call running plays. Use the run to set up the pass maybe! When the other team is having success rushing the passer maybe some short curl routes or quick slants or sit down routes instead of 20 to 30 yard pass plays. Hang in there and get better. I love AU football and will give out before I give up!!!
