I agree it’s a disaster and the coaching is terrible. I disagree that we have no choice but to stick with him. I would argue we have no choice but to be done with him! The longer he stays the more he ingrains a losing culture. Maybe this will take care of itself and he will do us all a favor and just quit. He clearly isn’t in a good place mentally.

I’ve never seen a team that invents ways to lose like Auburn has under Freeze. Last year too. He is horrible. I was entirely wrong about him and admit it. It’s one thing to get beat. It’s another thing to consistently figure out a way to lose. Talent can’t fix stupid. Hugh is losing these games. He doesn’t even know the leverage rule. What he said in the presser about it is entirely false. He is mentally ill. Just step aside Hugh and do yourself and Auburn a big favor!

We had almost a 2 to 1 advantage in total yards in the Arky game as well but we had 5 turnovers. Who knows how many yards we would have had without the turnovers! I blame a lot of the turnovers on Freeze too. Especially early in the season defenses had our check downs figured out and were baiting our QB’s to throw it pre snap and then they would just drop back into the area they knew we would throw it to. Seems like we have gotten better not doing that but what a wasted season. We could very well be in the middle of the playoff conversation at this point with better coaching decisions. Having three different people calling plays is idiotic.

Another prime example why we are 3-5 instead of 7-1. Another terrible coaching decision. That play should never have been called. Of course Freeze blamed Thorne but had he tried to throw it he could have been strip sacked with a scoop and score the other way. The blitzing player was untouched. And to top it off we weren’t prepared to run the proper personnel on the field if we did get sacked. Just a complete cluster. I have lost all confidence in Freeze making good coaching decisions. Can’t fix stupid.

Freeze is going through an identity crisis, and so the team is too. He still can’t decide how involved he needs to be on offense as we have 3 people calling plays, which never works. He constantly questions how he should use the portal, and just last night he said he is going back to coaching the players hard. So why did he stop? He needs to get his self confidence back and go back to doing the things that got him here in the first place before the team will ever have confidence in themselves.

Hard for me to get excited about recruits when I see how poorly we are coached.

So after which game is he going to get fired? It’s not a matter of if but when. Unless Florida is fine with replacing Vandy as the leagues punching bag.

Agree completely about BK. Have never liked him and he underachieves every year.

A little more research into Asante would tell you why. He was at the end of his rope and Roberts and company gave him a new chance. It wasn’t because Roberts was any kind of good at being a DC.

People always overreact after week one. In both directions. But when Billy hired Ron Roberts I knew he was finished. I can’t believe anybody would pay that idiot to coach football. Heck one play should tell people what an idiot he is! 4th and goal from the 31 is all you need to know. But he also is toxic. He almost came to blows with our secondary coach last year during the Georgia game because he decided to stop bracketing Bowers in the 4th quarter. Then he went on social media and attacked the fans that pointed that out. He is a true idiot!!!

Only one takeaway here. Minnesota blew a game they should have won. NC got lucky.

Don’t waste your time with Ron. He is crazy. And yes that was the worst play in modern football history. I agree. It I also think Auburn will be much better than predicted this year. It Hugh has to prove he can coach a full season without losing to a big underdog and he can’t blow the big game he has won like last years bammer game. We will see.

This. Auburn will be the surprise team of the league this year.

Klieman should be much higher in my opinion. He was dominant at NDSU and has had KState consistently in the top 15 when it is very hard to recruit top 15 talent there.

Brian Kelly at 3 is a joke. Maybe 23, but not 3. He will underachieve again this year and be on the hot seat next year.

I have no idea why Kentucky agreed to accept this. Tell the NCAA to go take a long walk off a short pier!

Connor’s hate for Dabo has no bounds. Could it be because he actually stands for something and doesn’t cave to the mob? It says a lot about the culture he has created at Clemson that none of his players hardly ever leave to enter the portal!!! But that never gets mentioned. I have great respect for Dabo. Even though I am an Auburn fan and he went to bammer. I respect people with principles and are will to stand by those principles even when it isn’t the popular thing to do. Go Tigers! Both Auburn and Clemson Tigers!

Newsflash! Actually that a lie. Back before the TV money got so big there actually was real college football!! The coaches at Auburn and bammer and Georgia et al were truly middle class hard working folks. The players were very fortunate kids that got an education they would not have gotten but for being able to play ball. Life changing. Now? Education is a joke. Yeah they get tons of money.Better people? I think not.

They aren’t really getting fired. They just go from one employer to the next. When there is no more money and no more school…that’s when they are really getting fired like the pros get fired!

And because of Title IX the girls have to get paid too right? Well how long before a boy not good enough to make the men’s team can ‘trans’ into a girl, be a star on the girls team and make a bunch of money? Don’t laugh. It’s coming!

And those ‘scholarships’ and nothing more than appearances. The bad thing is it robs the kids that truly do want an education of that scholarship money and cheapens the value of a degree.

What everybody can’t seem to get through their head is why are there still scholarship players? What school is going to flunk out their $10 mil QB that doesn’t go to class?

Why would they pay walkons? That takes away money from the so called ‘star’ players and means the other teams will be out paying you for the better players? That wouldn’t make any business sense. Remember we are talking about a salary cap here. I guess you could have a practice squad like the pros but that’s got to be worked out too. Like I said. Just skip the charade and go to the pro model. College football at the power schools is dead.

Agreed. The sooner we stop the charade of ‘college’ football and ‘student athletes’ the better. That doesn’t exist at the major college level anymore. Just get on with the new pro league. I just hope the DII and DIII schools survive. That’s the last bastion of true college athletics.
