Sticking with Billy for another losing season is digging our hole even deeper. With this new class and another losing season, we may be years away from being a serious team again. I can’t express how angry I am that those in charge have let UF go to such lows and seemingly are ok with being mediocre. Meanwhile Lane, fresh off beating Georgia with a school that should never have the resources to compete with UF, will come and show us what a properly coached team looks like. But Strickland is too stubborn or stupid to care about being out coached every week.

He needs another season. We could be worse and more permanently damaged. Let’s just save our resources until Kirby retires and we can try again then. (Sarcasm or real thoughts of our AD, not sure)

After we lose 50-0 today, will any minds change, or are we just done trying to be an elite school? I’m glad we are great at academics, but I hate that we are ok being Vanderbilt. Maybe we are just cutting our loses and are just waiting until Kirby is done and retires?

If Lane can get that close with a much less talented team, I like his chances at winning it all with our rosters. And our roster would be even better with his recruiting. Don’t forget the 3 points we had whipped out because of a stupid penalty to end the half too. That would have won the game and it’s on coaching.

Don’t forget he gave up 3 points at the end of the half that would have won the game for us… team was great, coach was awful as always.

He is absolutely the worst coach in the SEC. What does he bring to the table? Recruiting is Mullen level, play calling and scheming is terrible, he doesn’t win. There is nothing that could really be worse if we had hired a high school coach. I just hope he’s fired soon so we can start to have hope for the future.

I hate Billy Napier and none has ever inflicted more misery on me than him. I will relish the day he is fired. Bring me Kiffen.

Author is either trolling or just not very bright if he thinks there are no legitimate reasons UF is a better school for championships. People like Lane don’t want to just fight to get conference championships. 1) Mississippi vs Florida in recruiting… yea thought so. 2) UF vs Ole Miss as a university, academics, resources… 3) Are more people moving to Florida Or Mississippi to live? I think Florida is a bit more desirable. 4) UF will always have a larger more prestigious footprint. 5) We can pay more with longer contracts.

Comparing the Florida job to Missouri… this article is an insult to everyone’s intelligence. What a tough job where you can go 3 consecutive losing seasons without getting fired in the hottest recruiting state with one of the best public universities in the country with a legacy of championships…

I’d caution you to read too much into this game. He may be a stud, but playing UF is like playing a high school team often. We looked great last week…

Only take away is Napier should take his buyout and never coach college ball again. We make every team look like a playoff contender and every QB a Heisman favorite.

I would happily lose every game left on the schedule and lose DJ in exchange for Napier and Strickland being fired today.

I’d love to keep DJ but absolutely no point in having him with Napier as coach.

Billy needs to be fired at half time with Strickland. I’m not watching another game after this and I’m just going to pick an adopted team to root for until Billy is gone.

Worse than 3rd and Granthom so far… Billy is a deadman walking. No matter how good DJ plays, this defense is going to lose many many games.

FSU’s complete implosion makes our season feel a little less hurtful. At least we have one win and we were expected to suck.

I think he has tanked his career and any talk that he is a big boys coach. We have seen bad hires, but this is something else.

Enough of this. This is beyond historically awful. Napier is a great human I am sure, but he has no idea what he is doing and may be the worst coach we have ever had. Just get Kiffin.

FSU has an argument they should have been in, but they don’t have an (realistic) argument they could have won it all.

No they don’t. This is silly. Bama beat UGA. No world in which UGA should have been in over Bama. FSU was annihilated by UGA and opt out excuses aside, we all knew they would be by watching their games without their QB. Michigan beat Bama in overtime and then smashed the title game. Michigan is clearly the best this year.

Even NFL players can’t just decide to transfer to a new team every year. It’s incredibly unstable and ruins college ball more when we treat them like NFL jr league without any of the constraints players and teams have in the NFL (salary caps, contracts with terms and such).

No he is very talented. But he is also a classless sellout snake, which indicates character issues to me. Will he be a team player if he doesn’t get all the carries he wants or if his perceived easy path to the playoffs doesn’t materialize?

Yea no. I wish him a very long and fruitful career as a car salesman after he falls behind on the UGA debt chart and remembers fondly his days as a starter for UF before he became a snake and joined our revival for a perceived easy path.

He would recruit better and win more than Napier. Why would it have been an awful hire compared to Napier? I like Napier as a person, but we pay them millions to win.

1) the SEC adding an Indiana football team would be beyond stupid and if the SEC decided to be NFL jr it probably would be the last straw for me to just walk away from college ball. 2) I think Kiffin would do wonders at Florida and I wanted him last hiring cycle. I have to believe we would be chasing playoffs by now with him instead of Napier.

No I hope his draft stock tanks and he is 4th string. You are supposed to hate your rivals, not join them and abandon your school
