Florida lands 2025 commitment from highly-touted kicker, former Arkansas pledge
Smart move. Arkansas is not committed to football.
No way Mississippi State wins
Alabama will drub Missouri.
The upset will be Vandy over Texas.
It didn’t help that the team leader insulted the fans and team by insinuating playing at Texas AM was no louder than practice. There was a reason why Nick Saban could make Nickel State look like a big challenge before he played them. The only time this year Missouri has looked like the team we thought they would be was in the 4th quarter against Auburn. The only chance they have to compete at Alabama is to have confidence in themselves which is justified rather than over confidence based on polls as was the case before AM.
The SEC is not very good this year. Anytime Arkansas can win two conference games, and maybe more, you know the conference is weak.
If Missouri plays the way they have played in every other game this will be out of reach by halftime. They don’t have a red zone offense and depend too much on field goals and then miss them.
Who cares what that “chrome dome” thinks? He has a gravy train job that requires no ability other than to criticize coaches and teams after a game. He is pathetic.
I’ve been watching Razorback Football since the 60’s. I’ve learned not to get my hopes up. If they ever beat a highly ranked team, or if they get ranked themselves, they will always disappoint. Even Bobby Petrino’s team that was ranked #3 in the nation behind Bama and LSU were boat raced by both of them that year. They always choke.
Why does Arkansas look capable? The sec sucks this year. Any season where Arkansas and Vandy can win two or more sec games is a very week conference year.
You got badly outplayed by Florida. The only thing that saved you was 12 men on the field that negated that field goal.
I’m a Mizzou fan. They will be lucky to win 2 more. Evidently they just lost two much talent off both lines of scrimmage from last year.
Like Miss is already eliminated. Texas AM will make it. If Arkansas beats LSU and Texas they will make it. Just as the early season polls were way off, no way can you predict who will make it. Right now Texas and Georgia are the only two worthy. Three weeks from now who knows.
You know what else is not shocking? Malzahn is mediocre at best as a coach. Sure he won at high schools with superior talent. But all coaches can do that.
Where was the usual starter at running back?
Arkansas is going to shock the world. Arkansas 48 Tenn 45.
Ole Miss lost last week because the offense didn’t have enough plays. If SC can win a significant advantage in time of possession then they will win.
1. I’m glad Missouri is the underdog. 2. Didn’t Malzahn’s team just get embarrassed by Colorado? He is the most overrated coach in football.
The key will be pass protection. In my opinion if they only pass on passing downs they will have difficulty keeping Cook from getting sacked. They are not going to be able to line up and run it in running downs either. To win they need to really mix it up.
Arkansas will beat AM, LSU, and Missouri.
Missouri is not very good.
Finally, a SEC team worse than Arkansas.
Arkansas has trouble when they are favored. I’ve watched them since 1969 and it’s always been that way. Since they aren’t favored, I expect them to win because Auburn is not strong at quarterback.
Missouri is going to be hard pressed to win 10 games. Texas AM and Alabama look like losses. South Carolina may be favored at home, and I can see Petrino out scheming Missouri and Arkansas upsets them. Of course the Oklahoma game is also going to be a hard one for Missouri to win. They were fortunate to beat Boston College. They better get much better and fast.
I fail to see the humor in a team that can’t control their emotions. It could have cost them the game.
They will have to play much better than they did against Buffalo or they are in trouble. I didn’t get to see it live but I watched the replay. Arkansas was more impressive even though they lost.
Maybe it’s because I’m old, but I remember when Missouri was a national power in football. Even when the program started to decline, they were known as giant killers by upsetting top 10 teams. There were some years when purely bad luck kept them from being in the top tier. For example, the 5th down granted to Colorado on the last play of the game. Colorado was in their hey day and Mizzou had just knocked them off the perch and could win the conference. But wait, the officials gave them an extra down with like 2 seconds on the clock. Then there was a tipped pass in the end zone against mighty Nebraska. Perfect position on defense, the game is over but the ball goats over to a receiver who was not even in the play. My point is Missouri has always had potential to have a good program. Arkansas wants to brag about how good they were in the 60’s. Missouri was better.
If anything I would say the administration at Missouri did not see football as a priority until Gar Pinkel showed them how a winning football team can lift up an entire university. Drinkwitz, being from Arkansas, knows how important it is to get the entire state to support the program. That has been his goal from the beginning. He is getting real close to doing that.
You are correct and I am a Missouri fan. Tenn beat a team that has respectable talent. Mizzou can’t score on offense against Buffalo without a short field.
Texas should be number 1 for beating a power 4 team and dominating them on the road. Georgia 2 and Tennessee 3. Would not rank Missouri in top 10 until they play someone.
This game is scary for Missouri because they have payed two middle school teams so far. Unless they are saving some plays for when they need them, this could very well be the nail in the coffin for any playoff aspirations.
It’s really not a basketball school. School has very little to do with it. It is a minor league professional team. The players will seldom attend a class for the limited time they are there. They will take enough on line classes to remain eligible.
I agree. At some point you have to notice the Hogs don’t have enough quality players to be good. This stuff happens regardless who is coaching.
It doesn’t matter how many yards you have if you can’t get touchdowns. Stats are for losers. Oklahoma State would be near the bottom of the SEC.
