Road games in the SEC are tough. UGA was handed an extremely rough sched that I doubt any team in the Nation could go 12-0 on. It's got to burn real bad seeing a team that your program whipped sitting at #3.
There is no decisive front runner in CFB right now. I assume because of NIL. Oregon has played one game against a contender & it was close. I watched the OSU Penn State affair. I was not impressed. UGA has looked vulnerable at times. t.u. has benefited from a extremely weak schedule. A&M was in the driver's seat in the SEC until they laid an egg at SCar. This ought to be interesting no doubt.
I watched the SCar OU game. The Scar offense got helped along tremendously by the hapless OU offense. Whichever QB Elko sends out to start is irrelevant. If he can't produce Elko is going to put the other one in. The best way to get past the Aggie D is passing & they just gunned down the best passing offense in the SEC. Ought to be an good game in a exciting venue.
KIffin is curled up in the fetal position on his couch sucking his thumb right now.
They would have t.u. & A&M play 3 times if they could. The cheapest SRO ticket you can get to 11/30 is $700.
LOL! Kirby & Dabo could have consecutive losing seasons & would still be safe. Look how long UGA put up with Richt?
"When you have two quarterbacks you have none" John Madden. Weigman is an enigma. He's shown to be an efficient passer in some games, not so much in others. A big part of that is a lackluster WR corps. Reed is what he is. He's a raw passer that will take one look, then tuck & run. LSU had no answer for Reed. They kept Weigman bottled up for a half. I would suspect Elko is going to start Weigman & pull him if he can't produce. SCar is hungry for W & Williams-Brice is an imposing place to play.
Yessir. It wasn't that long ago that the cadets marched to breakfast & every cadet that had a car was headed to Waco on the weekend.
With the current SEC format & the new playoff system the SEC Championship game is a moot point. I don't know if LSU can past Bama. As everyone saw at Kyle, LSU is vulnerable to a run first offense. LSU is also almost completely dependent on a pass first offense. A&M is vulnerable as well. WR's have a hard time getting open. A&M's secondary is not very elite either. Elko has two very winnable SEC road games ahead, an atrocious New Mexico State tune up game & the whorns. tu has been looking pretty vulnerable the last two outings. Their next game is UF next week.
Those nefarious Aggies just keep plugging along. We found our coach. The whorns look vulnerable. LSU lives & dies on the pass game. UGA finally figured themselves out. Bama is not Bama anymore.
A&M has not shown good consistency on offense. A&M's secondary can be downright dreadful at times. LSU is not as stingy on points allowed as A&M. LSU seems to be a more pass oriented team as well. There's a lot riding on this game. The biggest being the only team undefeated in SEC conference play. Should be a good one. If the game were in Death Valley at night I'd pick LSU. It's not. Kyle at night can be daunting as well. I pick the Ag's in a close one.
Rope a dope. Kirby had that UT game circled preseason. Saban 101. Don't show your cards until you have to.
Elko keeps stacking up the DL talent.
My personal opinion. Kirby circled the whorn game before the season started. And has been playing rope a dope. Including against Bama. And it cost him. I watched Saban do it time & again. The fits being thrown are just part of the show.
Weigman stunk it up in the ND game. It's Reeds offense now. And he is raw but talented. And getting better. The Aggie secondary is horrendous. The front 7 can run with any team in the country. Mizzou will have to pass to win this one. Mizzou has really not played anyone. And had had a lot of trouble with Vandy. It's not going to be a clash of titans. It will be a test of two teams going to some good bowl games though. Hopefully Reed will get his game together by the time the whorns come to Kyle. We want that one.
Miss State is about the only easy out in the SEC this season. And they hung with the whorns for a half.
Need to let Connor heal up. Reed will do just fine against Bowling Green.
It was Clarence Schier. At least get his name right. The 50% down payment was given to Eric's Grandmother. She lived in a tarpaper shack that was worth less than the down payment. I watched Ron Meyer peg a $100 bill under his business card to the bulletin board at the Sealy High fieldhouse for Eric. Eric was as arrogant a young man as they come. Messed with white girls when that was completely unacceptable. Eric can claim all he wants His Grandmother wanted that His Grandmother wanted Him to stay in Texas. He wanted UCLA. He got paid. That was the SWC in those days. The other half of the Pony Express? I dated Craig James' former girlfriend briefly after he dumped her for his current wife. Mary was dead set on going to SMU & he was never going anywhere else.
I agree. Marv is as Aggie as it gets. Why risk all that $$$ for a meaningless bowl game.
Ole Miss stacked 8 players in the box & dared A&M to pass the ball. A&M played pass defense the whole game. Ole miss made less mistakes with the ball & that was the difference. The College Game Day curse continues.
A healthy Corral would provide a tough game for my Ag's. He ain't healthy & the Aggies have some serious pass rushers.
A&M is not yet elite on both sides of the ball. Getting close though. Jimbo is earning his money.
Make no mistake. The Ags stumbled around in the Pig & Miss State Games. Two programs loaded with super seniors that are now hurt or beat up. A&M has acquired enough depth now to finish strong. I hope for a good clean game against the Aubies. Gig'Em.
