Brock Vandagriff gives Kentucky early lead against Tennessee with touchdown pass
The combined IQ of the UT fan base wouldn't make a LED bulb glow.
Yeah. Typical low life you get when you go to Knoxville.
Doesn't get involved in play calling my butt! Just two weeks ago he was saying he should have not called a 4th and three on the 41.
Only KY can make a Freshman QB look like a Heisman Trophy winner.
I keep asking people, If not Stoops then who? Barnhart is not going to throw Stoops out unless there is substantial chance of showing better records in the years forward. What big time coach is going to come to KY and bring a war chest of NIL money with him? Barnhart is certainly not going to put $8 Million a year on a pig-in-a-poke. Lastly, the Stoops buyout alone is almost as big is the State of Kentucky operating budget.
If a player goes out for an injury he should have to sit out the remainder of that series. This is for his protection (medical evaluation) as well as the integrity of the sport. Twice in one game, he sits out the remainder of the game.
The Rats are running down the gangway rope.
The Cats have nothing for Vandy if Vandy plays like they played tonight.
Deboer is looking for a new defensive coordinator tonight and a new QB. Jalen Melroe should be benched. He played a lousy game.
Finebaum is such a loud-mouth
I think KY is at the ceiling of Mark Stoop's career. Stoops is totally incapable of developing a QB. Based on what we saw yesterday, he has 120 players but no team. He's been recruiting for the skill positions and totally forgotten about the O Line. This team is not playing team football. A lot of selfishness in the locker room and that is on the coach.
I see just two more wins the rest of the season. This could be the worst football season since Joker Phillips embarrassed the state and stuck up the place.
Stoops demonstrated yesterday why he will never be an upper Eschelon coach. Trailing by just one score in the first half he intervenes and has the cats go for it on 4th and a few when he already knows his O-line isn't getting it done. Even an idiot would not make that call and put the defense in that position. The defense sucked yesterday, the offense REALLY sucked yesterday and coaching didn't make it up to the level of sucking yesterday.
I don't like either coach. Their collective future for their teams mediocracy. Beamer is a whining crybaby and Stoops is an idiot whose IQ must be just above plant life.
I'm wondering. Did Stoops ship his playbook to SC before this game? Same old KY. Defense sucked, Offense really sucked and coaching didn't even rise to the level of sucking. What coach in the world would put his defense in an aweful spot by going for it on 4th and three on his own 30 yard line in the first half when he knew his Oline was not getting it done. Did the O line go on strike tonight? What an aweful team.
When are we going to start talking about football? Basketball has changed so much it hardly resembles the sport we grew up with. Basketball - who cares?
If not Cal, then who? That said, you can't keep on playing kids against grown men. Sounds easy but with the transfer portal and NIL it's difficult to build a "mature team". But look who is still in the tournament - grown men!
This guy sounds like a broken record.
It's pretty telling that Stoops goes through OC's and QB's like most people change underwear. That said, it could be one of two things: 1. They get fed up with Stoops and beat trail out of town at the end of the season, or 2. They are good enough to get a better gig elsewhere and then beat a trail out of town at the end of the season. Both of these reasons mean the same thing for KY, They are stuck where they are in the SEC.
The Cats have a lot of stuff to fix. Chief among them is QB/receiver efficiency and number of plays run. If you run just 55 plays a game you're going to have to hit a lot of home runs. AT 80 plays a game, you have a better chance of dropping a few in. 90% of what KY needs to win is fixable under the right leadership. Overall talent is another thing but will be more difficult to fix. KY has to bid against the Alabama's and Georgia's of the world.
Harbaugh, just like Nick Saben, knows that with the "portal" it is going to be increasingly difficult to acquire and maintain a #1 strength roster until someone puts some sanity back into college football. Michigan could easily go from #1 to #10 in the Big 10 next year due to the portal and NIL. Long term player development is dead for the foreseeable future.
Now all he has to do is win. Either way, the odds are not with him. Hope he has negotiated a good exit contract.
I like this DeBoer guy. Be bold or go home. What job do you want? The toughest job in the league. Big up side and big down side.
The thing about running through OC's, Stoops always has someone to blame.
The transfer portal ran Saben out of football. Saben succeeded by getting quality players out of high school, developing them and starting them in their junior or senior season. Todays' good high school players are not patient and with the transfer portal, they don't have to be. It got too difficult for Saben to keep his good players and, quite frankly, he could see that it would going to be just too much work for less return in the transfer portal era. Saben won't be the only high performance coach to call it quits due to the same thing. College football it doomed.
As far as entertainment goes, worst playoff of recent memory. I turned it off at the half. Inconsistent officiating made the game less enjoyable. Outcome was predetermined.
Why on earth would the NCAA get game officials from the weakest conference in College football - ACC. Michigan grabbing and holding all night.
I'm surprised he's coming back but glad he is. He pretty much knows the offense and has proven that he can step in and do a good job. Because of his experience, Allen will give Vandagriff a run for his money when competing for the position which will be good for Vandagriff. He'll have to be on top of his game every practice.
Beck would be foolish to ignore #2 or #3 in the draft for an If-come in 2024. Tomorrow is a promise to no one. It's like winning the lottery. Always take the cash option.
I love journalists. You can always count on them to take un under dog's side. I am not a FSU fan nor an Alabama fan. Consider the following. Louisville, the runner up in the ACC by a very narrow margin to FSU, lost to a KY team that next to last in the Eastern Division of the SEC. Putting FSU in the final four just because they were 12 - 0 would be like putting Cincinnati in the final four for the same reason and we all saw what yielded from that.
IMO, the committee did FSU (visa vis the ACC) a favor by not allowing an embarrassing drubbing by Michigan in the final four.
