Carole Baskin of ‘Tiger King’ fame blasts Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry for live tiger at LSU-Alabama game
Squirrels? asking for a friend...
Dart was great but the offensive player of the week should go to Wadkins.
One of ole miss’s supposed “fake” injuries from earlier in the year has missed three games now.
If you look at QBR vs core 4 teams, you will see a different story and even more so if you look at QBR vs SEC teams.
Getting offensive linemen healthy is the number one priority. We have suffered with multiple offensive linemen out. Hopefully at least one of the two on the list will be ready to go. Keeping my fingers crossed for both.
Thankfully, after playing too many weeks in a row, Ole Miss has dates with ice baths, whirlpools, trainers and doctors on October 19 in an effort to get players ready for the rest of the season.
Your football field is named after one of those “clowns” isn’t it?
Good to see our oline. Getting back healthy. We have definitely needed them against two aggressive defenses the last couple of weeks
No, that's not true. Moss also leads the conference in yards per carry. I think that at this point it is hard to argue against Moss being the best running back in the conference, and I am most certainly not a TAMU fan.
To a codger like me, old school is gray pants, navy jersey and navy helmets. Anything else is among the newer, alternate uniforms. Unfortunately, we have not worn that combination this year and only wore it once last year. It's getting to where I sometimes have to watch for a few minutes to figure out which team is Ole Miss because they are always wearing alternate uniforms.
Your comment seems to have nothing to do with the article. What do forfeits have to do with performance against the spread?
Good to see that our oline is slowly getting back healthy.
Well, that certainly shows class...
So you're saying that he should be a Tennessee fan?
His own players certainly seemed to be on the ground a lot when Ole Miss was executing the hurry up offense.
Pettus played even the he was not 100%
While your statement is certainly true, it has little to do with this. Most of these were on last week’s list. In fact, looking at this week’s list, it looks like our oline is healthier going into this game.
Neither I, nor anyone else honestly know whether a full strength Ole Miss offensive line can hold up enough against that stout line, but they will be much better positioned to do so if they get healthy. Ole Miss had three oline starters out injured last week and two of the regular rotation players playing injured and not at 100%. We do know from past years that Dart can get the ball out of his hand and on target quickly. He wasn't doing that Saturday because he had gotten out of the habit of doing so when his oline was dominating lesser opponents earlier in the season. I'm even more concerned about Ole Miss's defense allowing drives to continue due to penalties. If they can't fix that, then they are in a world of hurt no matter what the offense does. We also hope that they don't suffer another flukey turnover in the redzone.
That depends a a lot on whther the olinemen that were out against kentucky are able to make it back or not.
Since they are both in the same conference, the schedule isn't going to be consistently tougher at one school or the other. Florida has more money, but they have cultural issues that have contributed greatly to their decline. Their last successful coach has to resign because the cultural issues weighed so heavily on him. The cultural issues have made it impossible for any coach since to have any sustained success. Until those are fixed, it would be foolish for any good coach to take the job. This is especially true for one with anxiety issues like Kiffin.
There are some serious problems at florida that go way beyond who the coach is. Someone would have to be a fool to take that job right now. There is a reason that it has become a place where coaches go to die.
Ok, you know the drill. Show us on the doll where lane kiffen hurt you...
I find it odd to use “we” when talking in the third person, but hey, use the pronoun that feels comfortable to you. I also find it odd that you would fret so much over whether or not you think a player is “faking” an injury when it isn’t even a game that involves your team. However, as the answer is quite easy I will answer yor question. I do pay attention to how long players on my team sit out because I worry about their injuries. I can tell you with certainty that the answer to your question is zero. There were few enough “big plays” by Wake that it is easy to verify that no injured Ole miss players came back in two plays later (in college football you cannot come back in one play later if your injury causes a stoppage in play). There were a lot on injuries on both sides, but if you research you will find that Wake’s field is notorious for causing injuries. Ole miss fans are anxious to see this week’s injury report because there were some critical players injured. One of our best defenders spent much of the game in the tent before being hauled off on a cart for an MRI (fake no doubt).
What are you talking about? Your game was very in doubt to the end. Did you fake injuries?
Hint: if you don't want to hear about the Rebels, then don't read the Ole Miss portion on Saturday Down South.
I'm not opposed to alternate uniforms sometimes (and some of them look nice), but when you wear alternate uniforms every week, they lose their impact and it gets hard to remember which team is yours when you're watching a game. I think that there was only one time last year when Ole Miss wore traditional colors. We'll see if this year is the same.
No. Ole Miss wins 11 games, returns almost every key player and adds some massive portal pieces, appeara highly ranked on some internet poster’s opinion poll (major media polls as well but here we are looking at an internet opinion poll), doesn’t stumble in the least against weak opponents and then finds itself at number 2 on that internet opinion poll after some of those above them struggle a little against lesser opponents.
You are welcome to your opinion, but would you please tell us what you base that assertion on?
