Wasson: LSU definitely has a Brian Kelly problem
I think Wasson was referring to himself ascending up the career ladder until he found himself 1 rung higher…..
I would assume like most schools. Especially public universities. Only a very small piece is the coaches salary is paid by the state. The great majority is paid by boosters.(I know LSU does).
Also any large buyout has to be raised from boosters so if they aren’t ponying up a large buyout, they can put more in the NIL money pool
You can step out of the way or catch the guy to keep him from getting hurt or jam him with both hands and knock him back on the turf.
There were other options
I’m generally pro-police officer but this looks entirely unnecessary. They are beating on a bunch of old men who aren’t fighting back. That one officer is raining blows on a defenseless fan.
Granted I didn’t see how it all started but the end is ugly
SC at home at night is a great atmosphere and obviously a very dangerous place to visit.
Great win Cocks!
Hate to tell you but football doesn’t fall under DEI
We will see when recruiting rolls around if it effected them.
Starting halfway in the 3rd we got outcoached and out played. Defense had no answer for the new QB. Offensive play calling switched to run up the middle into the teeth of the defense or pass it outside for 2 yds and hope the WR could make them miss.
One of the field goal attempts was a career long. None were chip shots. The bad snap was just poor execution. My bet is the defense got away with faking snap count but in those stadium conditions they should’ve been going by sight.
Good job by A&M. I thought we had it in control. If you had told me before the game we would be up 17-7 at half I would’ve been good with that.
Yeah I wish we were in Tiger Stadium
I heard TN was in the market for a QB that would try to win a game instead of running out of bounds
Now who is being thin skinned? I personally think homecoming should be done with. My wife doesn’t agree however picked up on it and asked why they y’all would do that. In hindsight maybe y’all should have picked TN who I was personally glad to see y’all beat. She on the other hand was ticked because y’all beat them. The point I’m getting too, you can’t please everyone.
Congrats on your season so far. Hope y’all win every game left.
Not buying that TN defense as good as any in SEC. Arkansas only had 277 yds total against LSU.
Surprise! Look who’s defense has gotten better.
Lagway is playing better now that he is not looking over his shoulder. He can for sure throw the deep ball.
Going to need big balls not deep balls to save Napier though.
One thing for sure.
Ewers got beat the hell up. I bet he wishes TX had not pushed to get in the SEC a year early.
18 tackles is hard to do. What’s the old saying, not in a class by himself but it doesn’t take long to call roll.
That poor OM running back that Weeks hit on the way to sacking the QB on the last play of regulation is still wondering what hit him.
These unis are my personal favorite
OM is one of their oldest rivals but rushing the field is not an every game occurrence. I think it had more to do with the situation. LSU was the underdog, came back and won after never leading and it was late Saturday night and a lot of those fans were pretty well lubricated.
Heck, I was at home and I rushed the coffee table. My commissioner told me if I broke it she was fining me a new coffee table and a sofa.
This is like he has decided this is where he wants the QBs to be so he bends the narrative to make them fit. Dart got where he is against some really soft competition. They have lost 2 games where he looked mediocre at best. Definitely not in the top 3
Nuss had about 6-8 drops Saturday too. I don’t know what has gotten into the replay officials. They really like overturning calls on the field. I have never seen so many as there were against Ol Miss. I thought it had to be overwhelming video evidence.
It went both ways. It wasn’t just on LSU plays either. The TV guys even commented on there being so many.
The one I really had a problem with was the TD they overturned on LSU. You could see the ball hit the ground but there was no view of him bobbling the ball.
Dude just don’t like Tiger mascots. Mentions Ol Miss DL because golly gee they tried hard BUT they just didn’t get there. LSU DL got 5 sacks(6 total) and double digit tfl against one of the leading offense in the conference.
I’m telling ya, guy just scared of Tigers.
Quit tampering. Y’all did a fine job of raising him but every little bird has to leave the nest at some point. Admiring from 3 states over is just going to have to do for you.
Saturday was as fine a job of playing football by Whit Weeks as you ever want to see. He made plays from the OM backfield to knocking passes away 40 yds downfield at the goal line. Kid was everywhere.
The only place a 18 tackle game against 1 of the best offenses in the country is not better than an 11 tackle game against the worst offense in the league is SDS. There is a serious LSU bias going on with this writer.
By the way, I believe Whit’s little brother was at the game Saturday and he was wearing purple and gold. Looked good on him too.
OM did run better, passed for way fewer yards, barely had advantage in time of possession. Came into game saying their DL was one of best in country and LSU was one of the worst. Zero sacks. LSU had 6. Blake Baker earning his keep as DC.
Tiger Stadium was hoppin last night
Dang good game. That is all that is good about college football. Packed stadium, evenly matched teams, decided in overtime.
Go Tigers!
Choochoo man after last week you ought to keep quiet for a bit. Just like Ol Miss, TN still hasn’t played a really good team and both of you are sitting on a L.
I’m not seeing the problem here because I mainly don’t want to. Let’s look at it from the players side and not the U.
For some of these kids this is their only chance they will ever have to make significant money in their lives. And it’s not that many of them doing it either.
Most of these players are not going to get a degree and even if they do that guarantees them nothing in life.
If I am one of those kids we have no right to tell them they can’t make all the money they can. That is the whole premise that brought on NIL.
DeBoer doesn’t need to let this go with an apology to his teammates. You don’t slam a guy’s head on the turf. Kick the ball like a 4 yr old. Throw your mouthpiece. Defy your coach and refuse to come out of the game. And remain a Captain of the team. You just don’t.
Every player on that team is thinking that if he can act a fool then so can I. If he doesn’t have to do what the coaches say neither do I.
DeBoer is about to learn there is more to it than let’s all just have a good time and let’s play some ball. I guess. I mean we have a clueless woman that stands to giggle her way into the Presidency. Vandy beat Bama. Crazy times.
I’m not walking on Bama’s grave just yet. DeBoer is a good coach. At least he has won a lot at his other stops. Is he Saban? Rhetorical
Bama had a ton of talent hit the street after He left. DeBoer did not replace it with equal talent. The Williams kid is obviously talented and Milroe is good. Those 2 will keep you in any game.
The defense has looked really not good for 6 quarters in a row. GA carved them up like it was Thanksgiving already and then Vandy made them look like LSU in 22. Or 23.
Last prob, Moore. Don’t need to say more.
Daniels made a huge jump between his jr and sr season at LSU. To be honest I didn’t think he could hold on to the job his sr year. I missed on that in big way. That dude can play
Neck is special. Reserved for special guests.
First he tells us how he knew that Missouri was overrated(they were). Then he tells us how great A&M is(they aren’t) because they beat Missouri.
