Eli Drinkwitz blasts Cardinals writer, Mizzou grad for social post
ESPN playoff predictor gives Missouri a 61% to make the playoffs with a 10-2. Matchup would be at Notre Dame. Not a very low chance especially if Brady Cook is healthy the next three weeks.
This is a very cute take. Only problem with it is Brady Cook was a Barry Odom get. Cook, Burden were all recruits in Mizzou’s backyard. Easier path to them. But Drink just started consistently getting 4 and 5 stars from every corner of the country, beating major programs consistently? Yea this isn’t slowing anytime. Maybe 8-4, 9-3 next season but Mizzou will be a threat as long as Drink is in CoMo
Watch every game, was at that game, and still involved with football to this day. Nobody makes you do anything as stupid as Luther did against BC or (since you don’t think anybody knows more than you) Johnny Walker last year against LSU. Players have the ability to keep their composure if they choose. Nobody can MAKE you do anything. Don’t retaliate through stupidity, retaliate by doing your job on the field. Wow, who knew it could be that simple.
If they were so smart they wouldn’t have lost to Georgia State.
Also BC didn’t get anybody into trouble. Mizzou got Mizzou into trouble, they just need to be more aware of their behavior and correct it.
I think some people underestimate how well Mizzou revamped that defense with SEC caliber players. This team has more depth and talent than last year. Also, “some upsets”???? Be fr, only upset on that schedule would be winning at Bama.
And you wouldn’t, which is even more predictable lol.
Couldn’t agree any more
The fact that Mizzou isn’t one of the teams getting in lol. One of the best offenses in the country and an electric defense that was built through the transfer portal. Team is going to go 11-1.
100% agree. Just random and no substantial evidence to back these ridiculous takes
Alabama is going to be good. Maybe not 11-1 good, but sure as hell will be competitive. With that being said, Missouri absolutely can win that game. For those that aren’t educated, it’s not just Luther Burden. It’s receivers Theo Wease Jr (best contested catch wr in the SEC), Mookie Cooper, AND Marquis Johnson. Add a huge, talented young TE Norfleet and Marcus Carroll in the RB. This is one of the best offenses in the country. Defensively, a TON of upside. Now, whether they gel together or not odds the question but Missouri absolutely can beat Bama. Don’t look at just the logos, do your research first.
What an incredible coach. In this time in college sports to actually love on his players and care for their best interest. Teach them core values like always telling the truth to everyone no matter what happened. Great stuff.
LSUSMC, first of all, Mizzou beat LSU in 2020. So thank you. You win in 23, ok cool. It’s not like Mizzou can’t ever beat LSU. Y’all are not the biggest fish and that program doesn’t scare anybody. Drink didn’t pick a name everybody would know bc he wanted the best fit for his defense. He wants somebody that can allow a physical, fast aggressive front seven with a lot of different blitz packages with man looks in the secondary. It’s not about who they are, it’s about are they a good fit for my defense and what I want that to look like. Obviously Drink loves this guy to go get him, and they’ve coached together before.
Leave Mizzou out? Interesting…. Potential to go 12-0 with that schedule. Offense could be even better, defense will still be aggressive.
Absolutely we’re taking applications!!!!! One of the hottest programs in the country and set to compete for national championships for the next couple of years at least!!! What a time to be a Tiger.
MIZ!!!!
No doubt he’s playing tomorrow night. Especially with coach Hartline’s comments. Trying to catch Mizzou by surprise but trust and believe they’ve prepared for Marv to play. KAD will be ready for that challenge. MIZ.
You can’t compare Nate Peat’s transfer to the seven players this year *
No doubt they’ll have to earn it. If nothing else it improves the depth of this team and the competitiveness.
But Nate Peat transferring to Mizzou and the seven guys that transferred all were contributors, some among the best in the country at their position (ie Marcus Carroll). They came to Mizzou, yeah bc maybe they were unhappy, but bc they saw Drink’s vision here. They see something building. They could’ve chosen a FSU, an LSU, a Tennessee, but they chose Mizzou. As a Tigers fan who knows what I’m talking about, that very much speaks volumes. Never has Mizzou been this desirable to any recruit. With NIL, Drink’s culture, facilities and stadium upgrades being made, the buzz around CoMo, no doubt this is a different Mizzou.
Mizzou with the returning starters and proven impact players on the defensive side of the ball can beat anybody except for Alabama in Tuscaloosa. 11-1 is a real possibility, no doubt.
It speaks volumes that all of these high quality players from other programs are headed to CoMo. This team is going to be a serious threat to everyone on their schedule next year. Super excited for the future.
Ah here we go…you win one natty 60 years ago and bring that up in a conversation pertaining to the last twenty years. Typical pig fan. Mizzou has finished the AP rankings more than Arkansas has the last twenty years. We’ve never finished at the bottom of the division in the SEC. We’re 9-2 head to head against you since 2008. Need I say more?
Nah forget that. aRkAnSaS been sticking their nose in the air talking about how much better of a program they are, with no real evidence showing that in the last twenty years. I’m a younger Mizzou fan in my mid twenties but know my stuff. I'm in Saint Louis, and I HATE Arkansas. Almost as much as that school to the west. The border line rivalry is real even up here. So forget their crybaby feelings. Post that MIZ on every block down there. They need to get it in their heads who the better program is.
