Paul Finebaum will give teams credit when they perform at a high level, but he will also call out a team if it is disappointing. One of the biggest games in the SEC this past weekend was Missouri and Alabama.

The Tigers had a good record coming into the game but were blown out in their biggest game of the year prior to Saturday. Alabama, on the other hand, needed a convincing win to keep its fanbase from going crazy after losing 2 of its last 3 games.

The Crimson Tide were dominant in every area, as Alabama won the game 34-0. That defeat dropped Mizzou to 6-2 overall while getting outscored 75-10 in their losses to Alabama and Texas A&M.

Losing to Alabama was 1 thing, but the way Missouri lost is a completely different story. During his spot on the McElroy and Cubelic Show, Finebaum said this loss cooked Missouri and puts the team in a tough situation moving forward.

“I think Missouri is cooked, there’s no way back for them,” Finebaum said. “And I’m looking more at a big picture. Where does it mean to where you started the season? They can still win some games, but I am underwhelmed by them and quite frankly have been underwhelmed all season.”

Expectations were sky high for the Tigers heading into the season, as they returned so many talented players from a team that won the Cotton Bowl last year. They also had a very favorable schedule when it comes to the SEC, but injuries to Brady Cook have really hampered what was thought to be 1 of the best offenses in the country.

The Tigers do get a week to potentially heal up a little bit and try and get back the right track, and will be in action in 2 weeks at home against Oklahoma.
