South Carolina pulled off another big Novermber upset victory under Shane Beamer, dominating Texas A&M 44-20 at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday. LaNorris Sellers threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for a third while Rocket Sanders totaled 144 yards and 2 scores on the ground.

In 2022, the Gamecocks took down No. 5 Tennessee and No. 8 Clemson in back-to-back weeks, and fans will hope that this sparks a late-season run. They stormed the Williams-Brice Stadium field after the final whistle to celebrate the third win over a Top 10 team of the Shane Beamer era.

And that earned South Carolina a $250,000 fine from the SEC, the conference announced on Sunday.

It’s the second time in a calendar year that the university has incurred a fine from the conference. In January, the Gamecocks men’s basketball team defeated visiting Kentucky 79-62. A third offense, and every offense thereafter, will cost the university $500,000.

The Gamecocks, 5-3 on the season and 3-3 in the SEC, have won back-to-back games. On October 19, they defeated Oklahoma 35-9. They can clinch bowl eligibility in Week 11 with a win over Vanderbilt.

After the Vandy game, the Gamecocks wrap up their home slate against Missouri and Wofford before rounding out the regular season at in-state rival Clemson.
