South Carolina fans are ready to see Shane Beamer’s team take on a top-10 opponent.

The Gamecocks announced Monday that Saturday’s conference clash with No. 10 Texas A&M is sold out.

Mike Elko’s Aggies are well-versed in the impact of a hostile environment. Texas A&M called for a blackout at Kyle Field to help create a raucous atmosphere for this past Saturday’s showdown with LSU. The Aggies overcame a 17-7 halftime deficit to win 38-23. The comeback victory moved Elko’s squad into the top 10 of the AP Top 25.

South Carolina enters Saturday night with a 4-3 record. The Gamecocks are 0-3 against ranked opponents this season, but they’ve come close to knocking off top-25 foes on two occasions.

In LSU’s 36-33 win over South Carolina in Columbia, ESPN’s win probability favored the Gamecocks much of the game, even as late as 2:15 in the 4th quarter. More recently, South Carolina took Alabama down to the wire in Tuscaloosa, falling 27-25. The Gamecocks had a 19-14 lead in the 4th quarter of that game.

Beamer’s team put together one of its strongest wins of the season last time out. In Week 8, the Gamecocks jumped out to a 24-0 lead at Oklahoma and held on for a 35-9 road win.

South Carolina and Texas A&M have played annually since 2014. A game that showcased the range of the 14-team SEC footprint, A&M dominated the cross-division clash 9-1. South Carolina’s lone win came the last time in Columbia, 30-24. Saturday’s meeting as conference foes in a division-less SEC is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff, airing on ABC.
