Nico Iamaleava reportedly making the trip to Athens for Georgia game amidst injury concerns
Nico Iamaleava is expected to be with the team on Saturday night for Tennessee’s top-15 showdown with Georgia despite spending multiple days in concussion protocol this week.

Iamaleava did not play in the second half of Tennessee’s win over Mississippi State last weekend due to a concussion. Josh Heupel has expressed optimism about his condition throughout the week, but Iamaleava has been officially listed as questionable on the first 2 SEC-mandated availability reports released by Tennessee.
It’s possible Iamaleava could still be held out of the game this weekend, but making the trip to Athens would seem to be a good indicator that he’ll be able to play on Saturday night vs. the Bulldogs.
Tennessee and Georgia will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night. The Vols are currently a 9.5-point underdog to Georgia, per the latest lines from most Tennessee sports betting apps.
Of course he’s going to make the trip, how else do you expect Heupel to sell his bluff of the “he might play” narrative he’s been peddling all week if Nico doesn’t show up?
Boy howdy! I’m nervous and excited. Vols have a huge challenge on the road with noise and that Georgia defense.
Please sweet baby Jesus pick the Vols just this once to win in Athens
I didn’t know he picked football games.
I’m with you LAVol, nervous excitement sums it up well. If ever the pups were ripe for picking, this is the year.
