We Want Vandy sign appears during College GameDay at Oregon
We Want…Vandy?
For years, “We Want Bama” signs were frequently spotted at college football games and on College GameDay. A few “We Want Georgia” signs popped up during UGA’s run of back-to-back national championships.
After Vanderbilt took down a top-ranked Alabama team in an epic Week 6 upset, at least one Oregon fan has decided that the Ducks want the Commodores. A “We Want Vandy” sign appeared at Saturday’s GameDay from Eugene, Oregon.

Vanderbilt got the attention of the college football world with its 40-35 win over the Crimson Tide last week. The 2024 Commodores had already turned some heads with a Week 1 win over Virginia Tech and during the Week 4 game at Mizzou that went into double overtime.
This week, Vandy’s only concern is Kentucky. The Wildcats have also been in the spotlight this season for their upset win over Ole Miss.
If the AP Poll extended beyond the top 25, Vanderbilt would be No. 30 using receiving votes. Kentucky, meanwhile, would be No. 39. UK, though, is expected to take down the Dores in Lexington. At FanDuel Sportsbook, the Wildcats are favored by 12.5 points. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Vandy only a 31.5% chance of getting the road win Saturday night.
