3 matchups that will define Florida vs. LSU (and a prediction)
Did the UF public relations dept write his revisionist history of the Hurricane fiasco? There are two sides to every story. It was never as one sided as he makes this sound. In the end UF played at LSU and in return LSU played two years in a row at UF.
The team that beat OSU isn’t the same team as this year’s team and OK only has one SEC win. Some Missouri fans are extremely proud of the OSU win in a meaningless bowl game with a lot of op outs and players missing because of transferring including their starting qb and Marvin Harrison. The only bowl games that matter are playoff games which is proved by players opting out of non playoff games and not opting out of playoff games.
NIL isn’t supposed to be a handout. It is to pay you for the value of your Name, Image and Likeness. JUCO players are elegible for NIL but the players have no NIL value. It’s not the NCAA’s fault that the JUCO product cannot be monetized. The madness needs to end.
He made the impossible possible
I look at it a little different. The new system actually creates more significant regular season games. The reality is you were only allowed one loss in the old system which meant that a big percentage of the teams were eliminated by the first half of the year meaning those teams regular season games lost all relevance. Under the old system there would only be a few key matchups left. Now there are a lot of significant games left. This year would be chaos under the 4 team playoff.
Well said. Indiana being better than they typically are doesn’t make up for Michigan’s downfall.
Just look at the team composite talent index and the comparison of the conferences isn’t remotely close. The BIG has 10 teams with worse talent than MS St whose is the second least talented team in the SEC. The B1G’s records are propped up by their top teams playing a bunch of low talent teams. Penn St hasn’t played any of the top B1G teams, OSU has only played Oregon, Oregon has only played OSU, and Indiana hasn’t played anyone.
Vol98 we might want to pump the breaks on the A&M is the best team in the SEC. They didn’t look anything like the best team in the SEC through the first 2 1/2 quarters. The change to Reed meant a change in offensive philosophy that LSU had not prepared for. It will be interesting moving forward how successful the offense is when teams prepare for Reed at QB.
TrueLefty is here because he despises LSU and posts negative comments on every LSU article.
Go back to your room the adults are having a conversation.
Are you saying that none of the other quarterbacks have had a bad half or game?
He said that if it was up to this season only Nuss and Pavia would be at the top. Am I missing something here? Isn’t this supposed to be about this year?
I don’t know if I would classify Ole Miss coming into the season as a no brainer to make the playoffs.
I wouldn’t base the results of this year’s game on past years results. Missouri doesn’t look nearly as good this year as last year.
Put down the laptop your mom just called you for dinner.
I’m not sure if either will make it to the CG but early season losses in CFB can be deceptive. In LSU’s case there are three freshman defensive lineman who are currently in the rotation that didn’t get a snap in the opener and a freshman RB that has given them a spark that also didn’t play. They have a new defensive staff this year and a lot of players who were trying to figure things out in the early season. The defense has come a long way since the opener. There is no preseason in CFB.
There is almost no advantage to scheduling anything but cupcakes early in the year. A last second win against a tomato can is looked at more favorably than a last second loss to a legit team.
The Bama game was poorly played by both teams. I’m a little confused why Tennessee moved ahead of LSU. I know it is a victory over a name brand but the actual game didn’t give me confidence in Tenn. The only common opponent is Ark and Tenn lost to them and LSU easily beat them.
Give them a break they are not accustomed to having legit teams play in Austin so they don’t know how to act yet.
Do the hogs really have only one player out and one doubtful. What are the reporting rules? At least 6 of the players that LSU listed are out for the year.
The two SEC games were against SC and Ole Miss who have really good defenses especially defensive lines who put a lot of pressure on him.
Quarterback A goes 25 for 28, 350 yards, 4 TD’s with an interception. Quarterback B goes 8 for 28, 100 yards, 0 TD’s with no interceptions. Which quarterback had the best game?
I was surprised that McCord was still playing qb for OSU. I guess he transferred back from Syracuse for the final drive.
I think Missouri’s loss to LSU last year broke you.
Playing with your food might work in the former PAC 12 but that doesn’t work in the SEC.
Picking the playoff teams is going to be extremely hard. It seems there is a lot more parity this year and the conference realignment means there will be a lot more two loss teams and a lot less 0-1 loss teams. A lot of the current undefeated and one loss teams will play each other before the end of the season. I wouldn’t necessarily say OSU has to win out.
I wonder if constantly traveling across country is taking its toll. The footprint of the B1G is insane.
I’m starting to wonder if a 3 loss team will get in the playoff.
I don’t think it is motivation I think the top teams are not as dominate as some of the recent Bama, UGA, OSU teams and 2019 LSU or if you go back further Miami and USC.
