O line better protect Nico if they want him to finish.
It is all about quality depth this time of year. Tough spot for UGA’S running backs, especially with the QB’s struggles. Certainly that helps UT, but Nico’s status and if he can not only play but finish will have an impact. Going to be a fascinating game.
This time of year it is all about depth and the quality of the backups. UGA has certainly be very successful in recruiting and their team is deep. UT is finally starting to get the depth necessary to compete when starters go down. Should be a great game. Hopefully the zebras are invisible and no one gets injured.
The big- 10 continues to get a lot of love, and yet consistently fails to produce in the playoffs. I know Michigan won it last year, but that was an exception. It will be interesting to see if they can turn it around this year.
There really isn’t a great, no flaws team this year. NIL has leveled the field, but also has negatively impacted teams with poor evaluations. Having said that, this year has been endlessly entertaining with the upsets and surprising teams.
Seems like a reasonable take/prediction. I have no idea who will win.
Concussions are nothing to fool with. Most players try to play if they can stand up, but the coaches and medical personnel have to protect them from themselves. Hopefully Nico is fully recovered and ready to go on saturday. If not, Moore, while not having Nico's skillset, understands the offense and can run it well enough to win.
I am really looking forward to the UT-UGA game, because I have absolutely no clue on the outcome. Both teams have struggled offensively, and erratic is a kind description. UT's defense has been a bit stronger than UGA, but never discount the home field advantage in the SEC. Athens will be rocking, and UT will have to play extremely well to beat UGA on their turf. They are capable of doing it, but the O has to find a higher and more consistent gear. Hopefully the MASH unit releases some of the injured and UT is at or near full strength. I think it will be a down to the wire kind of game. The ratings should be pretty good.
Happy Veterans Day. It will be a fun game in Athens as both teams have been erratic this year. I don’t expect UT to win, but having said that I would not be surprised if they did. Turnovers will be the key I think.
Should be a great game. I don't know how clean it will be as both offenses are inconsistent and not playing at a high level. Both defenses are playing lights out, so unless the light suddenly for one or the other, I don't think we'll see a high scoring game. UT hasn't played the schedule UGA has, so aside from the win against Alabama, they haven't played the same strength of schedule UGA has. It should be a great game as far as both teams playing hard. A loss would kill UGA's playoff hopes and a UT loss would certainly put theirs in jeopardy. This will be fun.
I don't think the Big10 teams are as good as portrayed according to the rankings, but still plenty of football left to sort things out. UT will move up if they take UGA in Athens, but that is a tall order. SEC teams just play different on the home turf with a vocal crowd supporting them.
If UT can get healthy, it should be a great game. Both teams have struggled throughout the season, but both are squarely in the hunt for playoffs. Here is to a clean game, invisible zebras, and no injuries.
Hopefully Nico and Sampson are good to go next week. "Tis the time of year where the depth quality is the difference between going bowling/playoff or home.
Now stay there. Still plenty of football to determine the ranking.
Congrats to GATECH. Nice game. Another upset. This year it's becoming the norm rather than the exception.
Tough situation to be in, but he is well compensated for the trials and tribulations of the job. Any coach is only a few bad games away from being gone in this day and age. UF is still playing hard for him, and injuries, especially for the QBs. It will be interesting to see how UF responds and what impact it has on recruiting.
You never stay the same. You either improve or get worse. Nico has struggled, but he is steadily improving. The receivers missed a couple, but it wasn’t for lack of effort. If Nico, the offensive line and receivers finally get on the same page, they can play with anyone. Having said that, they are certainly capable of a stinker like AR. It will be interesting to see how the offense plays this weekend. I am hopeful they will continue to improve.
Doesn’t matter. Still plenty of time and games for all the ranked teams to go up or down. The only really crucial game as far as playoffs is the Bama-LSU game. The loser would be bounced from the playoffs. It should be a great game. UT’s QB is starting to figure things out against better competition. He and the receivers are not there yet, but they are trending in the right direction. The UGA-UT game next week should be a lot of fun.
This weekend certainly will cull the playoff herd once the dust settles. Should see some great, competitive games with playoffs on the line.
I can see the under for the MSU-UT game. UT’s offense hasn’t had a complete game from Oklahoma on. Nico definitely had a much better game against UK, but the receivers didn’t quite get it done. Having said that, a win is a win, no matter how it gets it. NCAA championships are full of teams that didn’t have great offenses but killer defenses.
No argument with the rankings in this article. They are as justified as anyone else. They will also change significantly as the teams play each other. I believe the first and final rankings won’t be even close to each other.
Still too many penalties. UT’s O played better. UK played hard. Weird season so far. Take any win any way you can.
Congrats to Vandy on their win. It should be a fun game when UT comes to Nashville.
Yep, UK struggles against UT like UT struggles against UF. Bottom line, never go against a streak. Nico definitely took a step forward last game, and the offense looked alive in the second half. We shall see if the momentum continues. Home game. Go with the Vols.
UT should win this one. Having said that, UK has certainly shown they are capable of an upset. If Nico can connect on a few of the deep, open routes, this UT team will be very dangerous. Looking forward to another crazy Southeastern CFB Saturday.
This has got to be the most interesting season ever. Upsets galore, tight scores, and the constant reshuffling of the rankings. This is what makes CFB such a great sport. I can’t wait for the Playoff committee’s first release of the rankings. The screaming and anguish have the potential to be epic.
This is not your daddy’s Vanderbilt team. UT better be on when they go to Nashville.
