ESPN's SP+ predicts final score of Tennessee-Georgia clash in Week 12
ESPN’s SP+ has published a score prediction for this week’s marquee matchup between Tennessee and Georgia.
Bill Connelly shared the prediction earlier this week: Georgia 27, Tennessee 23.
That’s a closer projected score than Vegas is currently expecting. Georgia is a 10-point favorite over the Vols in Athens this weekend, according to the latest lines from most sports betting apps.
The stakes are as high as ever for both of these programs.
For Georgia, the Bulldogs are in a must-win situation if they want to make it back to the College Football Playoff. They’ve already dropped 2 games during the regular season, and a third loss would make it very unlikely for them to make it into the 12-team field barring some unexpected results down the stretch.
Tennessee only has 1 loss this season, but the Vols may also need a victory in order to ensure a spot in the CFP. At 10-2, Tennessee would be at risk of getting lost in the shuffle with other 2-loss teams from the SEC such as Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.

Tennessee is ascendant while Choking Georgia slides back down to their historical and rightful spot at 5/6 SEC. Heupel has Tennessee at #1 SEC. The facts are in. Kirby better win fifty six to ten or he choked again.

Just the fact Heupel, with 28 scholarships tied behind his back, has Tennessee #1 SEC in November is a story in itself. He doesn’t even need the same talent. He just needs a little more to push Tennessee to the top perennially.

Seems like a reasonable take/prediction. I have no idea who will win.
Me either, but that’s just about the score in would predict too – we’ll find out which one comes out on top. Liking both teams, games like this are hard for me to root one way or the other.
When Georgia beats Tennessee this Saturday will we finally be rid of voltrainconductor for the rest of this football season from spewing diarrhea from his mouth or will he just come back under a different name, i.e. Nagin? My money is on the latter.
