If I am TN, I make UF prove it can stop the pass. I'd throw it the first 20 times. Short, long, fades, cross routes, screens. No disparagement to anyone on this list, but how likely is it that the TOP 10 players in this country are ALL QBs? I think they need to somehow elevate the O'Brien and/or Maxwell awards to similar status as the Heisman. We have paid players, 2 real conferences, and essentially free agency now. They can do whatever they want. I feel like increasingly, non-QBs are like a group of 5 team in the BCS era...

1. I like BN, but he has to go. Tonight. Make it quick and painless, not suffering. 2. Most of, if not all, of the defensive staff needs to go. Defense has been absolutely wretched for how long now? Terrible communication, technique, fundamentals. That is coaching. Get rid of them. 3. OL coach(es) need to go. No explanation needed. It is plain that the locker room was lost from the 1st snap. If the players won't play for a coach, why even play the game? That they were competitive in the 2nd half simply shows the talent is there, but the coaching is not. Can OBC serve in some capacity to finish out the year? Bring in Stoops as some defensive consultant. Do something.

Everyone thinks Kiffin would automatically come here. But in this new era, the powerhouses of the past no longer carry the same cache. 12 teams get in now. Players can move around at will. Who has the most money to offer? And we have not been relevant (really) in 15 years. Yes there is more talent in Florida, but state lines don't mean nearly as much any longer. No need for Lane to move, he's got it made where he is.

I really think 7 wins is the gray number. 6 or less gotta think CBN is gone even with the schedule strength. Won't change much the following years. 8 or more is frankly a great year. 7? Borderline but probably good enough for one more year.

Assuming he stays, curious to see if they go all in with him as opening day starter. Mertz really did well with the play calling and OL deficiencies. There is no tomorrow anymore in CB. They could say yeah he's our future, start him all 12, finish 6-6 with multiple minor injuries, and have him leave anyway... I'd almost like to see both play a lot. At least for a few games.
