SEC QB Power Rankings, Week 12: When Jalen Milroe is on, Bama is a contender. Can they count on it this time?
I'm sure that anyone who came to "specifically play in Lebby's offense" also didn't expect Lebby's offense to be the 129th offense in the nation.
I like Pavia, but I am curious to know by which "numbers" he is the "second best" QB in the SEC. Also, I don't know that I would qualify his 3.95 ypc as "elite" for a QB" considering that there are 17 QBs with higher ypc. It is very good, but not at all elite.
If he is in concussion protocol like the rumors say, neither he nor the coaches will have any say as to whether he plays. Per SEC concussion rules, he will have to be cleared by SEC doctors in order to play.
He is the best running QB in the SEC, but he would not even come close to being a "top 3 RB". He barely cracks the top 100 in yards-per-carry
Ranked in order of passing efficiency. National ranking is in parenthesis:
1. Dart (1) 2. Ewers (14) 3. Milroe (15) 4. Iamaleava (26) 5. Thorne (27) 6. Pavia (40) 7. Reed (44) 8. Beck (49) 9. Green (50) 10. Nussmeier (53) 11. Sellers (55) 12. Cook (75) 13. Arnold (92) 14. Van Buren (94) 15. Vandagriff (102). With less than 100 attempts, Lagway does not have enough passes to be ranked.
So you are thinking that Arkansas should be ahead of UT? Head-to-head is a two edged sword and can’t be applied universally
How the heck would Ohio State know? They haven't even played Missouri this season. Instead I asked Texas A&M but they haven't answered yet- they are still laughing.
I think that Toledo told us all that we need to know
We haven’t exactly given them much to work with
Vandy vs Vandy should be interesting
Like everything else in the sec, it will be applied inconsistently and capriciously
but that was two whole weeks ago...
is he your husband or just your boyfriend?
would someone please get that girl a box of tissues. ^
Yes, but quality of competition has to be taken into account. Not all "P4" teams are created equal.
LSU fans rushed the field when they beat Ole Miss. They will rush the field if they beat Alabama.
Unlike most years, how you rank teams depends heavily on which statistics you decide to give most value to. These defenses are all good and it is hard to go wrong with any. The only sure thing is which is the worst, and the only non-good defense in the SEC.
Texas is only going to the SECCG if they win out and Georgia falters. Georgia vs TAMU is the most likely matchup at this point, but with this crazy season who knows.
1) Texas 2) Tennessee 3) Ole Miss 4) Georgia 5)Missouri 6) Alabama 7) Texas A&M 8) South Carolina 9) Kentucky 10) Oklahoma 11) Auburn 12) Vanderbilt 13) Arkansas 14) LSU 15) Florida 16) Mississippi State
Note that other than Mississippi State, who I would rank lower if I could, the defenses in the SEC are all very good and the order is fluid. Mississippi State's defense would likely be the worst in the CUSA if they were in that conference.
Game certainly are easier to predict after they happen aren't they? I think that Georgia beats Texas this year as well.
" Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!..."
The real story is that the SEC is still the best conference in the country, it is just more balanced than ever to the point that any team. with the possible exception of Miss State, can beat any other team. Vanderbilt can beat Alabama. Arkansas can beat Tennessee. South Carolina can destroy Kentucky and then be destroyed at home by Ole Miss who lost to Kentucky. Nobody is safe. It is crazy but immensely entertaining except in those weeks when your team is the one getting beaten.
It's just one person's opinion. Despite the name, it isn't really a "power ranking" with objective criteria. It is just another opinion poll put out there with one person's opinion. Make your own opinion poll. It will be just as valid.
It's hard to be too intimidated by a student body that always elects men "yell leaders"
D1 has a national championship. South Dakota State is the defending champion and has won two in a row.
I have watched football for over 60 years. In that time I have watched several thousand football games. I have seen many bad calls. What I had never seen previously is a flag thrown, officials consulted, penalty announced and stepped off and then several min later the officials consult again and decide to overturn the penalty on a non-reviewable penalty. The message sent is that if fans act like spoiled two year olds and throw a tantrum- throwing stuff on the field- you give them what they want. The officials can only call what they think that they saw in the heat of play. They are not allowed to change a pass interference call based on what’s on the screen slowed down and highlighted. Does that mean that they will sometimes make a call that we disagree with? Of course. They are human. I have seen much worse calls stand. You can’t make calls based on crowd reaction.
Hmmm. So just like your team
He should go back to singing. Tony Bennet was one of te greatest singers. Far better than anyone out there today. I thought that he died a few years ago…
I opened this hoping that it was Adam James...
So you're saying that Nichols is a better opponent to use to rank him?
