They got blown out by Auburn in '98, '99, 2000 . . . Somewhere in there. It was brutal. We drove over from Mobile. We went to the game while our wives spent money in NOLA.
Oh, UM's a dumpster fire. I wouldn't be surprised to see a coaching change at the end of the '25 season. But, at the end of the day, its just a game, and aren't games supposed to be fun?

Tough to argue that Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri (the states) are in the southeast. Cal, Stanford, SMU in the ACC? I think its safe to say that conference names really don't matter much in the modern, directionally challenged world of college football.

We older guys, I'm 72, all played for guys like Knight (and Coaches Bryant, Schembechler, and Royal, just to mention a few). They were tough, but that taught us things that would be important for the rest of our lives. They taught us to work, even when we didn't want to. They taught us about discipline and pride and determination. They engrained in us qualities that would actually work in the REAL world. There don't seem to be many of them left, and that's a shame.
