LSU vs. Arkansas

Known as the “Battle for the Golden Boot,” the LSU vs. Arkansas rivalry is one of the Southeastern Conference’s best rivalries.

The first game of the rivalry was played in 1901, with LSU beating Arkansas 15-0. After Arkansas became a full-time member of the SEC in 1992, the 2 teams played annually.

The Golden Boot Trophy was awarded to the game’s winner in 1996. LSU beat Arkansas that year 17-7. When Texas A&M and Missouri joined the conference in 2014, the LSU vs. Arkansas game was moved from the last weekend of the year. LSU now plays Texas A&M to close out the regular season.

LSU leads the all-time series 42-23-2.
