Former Kentucky running back Ray Davis had himself a day for the Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 9. The former Wildcat rushed 4 times for 20 yards and caught 2 passes for 70 yards and 1 touchdown.
Davis’ touchdown was arguably the play of the game. The Bills were trailing 13-12 near the end of the 3rd quarter when Davis snuck out of the backfield and caught a pass from Josh Allen. The RB proceeded to take it 63 yards to the house to put the Bills up 20-13.

The Bills would not relinquish the lead again, and the team escaped with a 30-27 win over the division-rival Miami Dolphins.
Davis has been a weapon for the Bills in 2024. On Sunday, the back finished as the team’s leading receiver with 70 yards. Heading into Week 9, Davis had rushed for 242 yards and 2 TDs on the season. The former Wildcat also had 8 catches for 79 yards heading into the matchup.
The talented running back was a 4th-round pick out of Kentucky in the 2024 NFL Draft. In college, Davis spent 2 seasons at Temple, 2 seasons at Vanderbilt, and 1 at Kentucky.
Davis’ lone Kentucky season was his best in college. The RB rushed 199 times for 1,129 yards and 13 TDs in 2023. Davis also caught 33 passes for 323 yards and 7 TDs in his time as a Wildcat.
Since being drafted, Davis has mostly been behind James Cook. However, Davis is becoming more involved as the season progresses and is making his mark in the passing game.
Davis and the Bills improved to 7-2 on Sunday and will next face the Indianapolis Colts
