Tyler Booker insists Alabama is done 'falling for rat poison' after win over LSU
Tyler Booker and the Alabama Crimson Tide put together their most dominant performance of the season during the 42-13 victory against LSU on Saturday.
Booker and the offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage the entire night. The Crimson Tide rushed the ball 48 times for 311 yards and 6 touchdowns. Quarterback Jalen Milroe rushed for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns, and the defense was opportunistic with 2 interceptions in the game.
It was the type of performance that sends a reminder to college football how good Alabama is, and Booker said on The Next Round show on YouTube that the Crimson Tide just have to play their game.
Tyler Booker to @NextRoundLive: "We just have to make sure we're playing Alabama football. That's something we've been preaching from the jump, but now that time has gone by, we've bumped our head twice — we've touched the stove twice — and we really believe it. No falling…

“We just have to make sure we’re playing Alabama football,” Booker told The Next Round. “That’s something we’ve been preaching from the jump, but now that time has gone by, we’ve bumped our head twice — we’ve touched the stove twice — and we really believe it. No falling subject to the rat poison now. We know we have to play Alabama football.”
The win was just what the Crimson Tide needed to remind the College Football Playoff committee that they are a team that can win it all. While they aren’t in complete control of their destiny when it comes to making the SEC Championship, the Crimson Tide are now in a good spot in the CFP ranking.
Up next for Booker and Alabama is a home game against Mercer.
It seems whenever Alabama’s back is against the wall & it’s do or die is when we play our best football; that’s been since Nick Saban coached here. Sometimes we come a little short, but a lot of times we show our potential. Not saying that we will win it all & be in the national championship, but at least we have the mindset & the chance to do so. Just take it one game, one play at a time, especially so with these next three games coming up. There will be people saying ” Oh, these will be easy victories, but that’s when the rat poison kicks in, the overconfidence, Treat every game, every play as it’s your last one & the game is on the line & you’re down by one. That should be the mindset of every player on the team, regardless if you are a starter or not, from here on out. If we do that, we will be fine.
Oh for Heaven’s sake. Could we just have a college sports world where expectations are not overkill? Congratulations to AL for another good year…. But please, let’s hope for a conference and NCAA and sport where we have some balance all over the league every year! And country for that matter?
